These terms cover your use of speakzy.club, a one-minute speaking drill. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
What the service is
speakzy.club gives you a speaking prompt, records what you say in your browser, and shows you a transcript and some simple measurements such as pace, filler words and pauses. It is a practice tool.
Feedback is automatic and approximate
The transcript, the score and the tips are generated automatically. Speech recognition can get words wrong, and the measurements are rough guides, not a professional assessment. Please use them as a prompt for practice, not as advice about your job, studies or health.
Your recordings and data
Your recordings and transcripts stay on your device, as described in the Privacy Policy. They belong to you. Because they are stored in your browser, they can be lost if you clear your browser data or switch devices, so please don't rely on the site as your only copy of anything important.
The newsletter
You can join the newsletter by entering your email address. By doing so you agree that we may email you the newsletter, and you confirm the address is yours or that you have the owner's permission to use it. You can ask us to remove your address at any time. How we handle it is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Using the site
You agree to use speakzy.club lawfully and to respect other people. You also agree not to:
- try to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its services;
- copy or resell the site, its design or its prompts as your own product;
- use the site to record other people without their permission where the law requires it.
- submit other people's email addresses without their permission, or use scripts or bots to submit the newsletter form.
Our content
The speakzy.club name, logo, design and prompt decks belong to us. You may use the site for your own practice. Third-party libraries, fonts and models it uses remain under their own licences.
Availability and changes
The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, pause or stop any part of it at any time, and we may update these terms. If we make a significant change, we'll update the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the updated terms.
Limits on our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site, including lost recordings, inaccurate feedback, or a delay or failure in sending the newsletter. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that can't be limited by law.
